Twitterpated!

" I saw it on Twitter"... a term you may hear a lot these days.

When did tweeting become so damn cool? I don't get it, but then again it totally makes sense, right?

It took me awhile to understand, and getting started with it was like pulling teeth, but I've recently started to see the benefits of "tweeting".

TV reporters, celebrities, politicians, CEO's, athletes, students, publicists, bloggers, models, designers, and your average "Joe Six Packs", are all on Twitter. What are they tweeting about? Anything and everything.

This mico-blogging platform allows anyone to send messages in 140 characters or less and has proven to be a good way for everyone to easily stay updated on what someone is doing.

I've noticed Facebook has recently remodeled itself to look a bit more Twitter-esque ( a bad decision in my opinion). For me, Twitter has become a quick way to stay updated on what's going on in many different areas of the media, my friend's lives, and what seems to be on everyone's mind in general.

I am also able to reach out to more people for my own benefit. Whether it be for a job, new business, promoting a brand or event, keeping my name in front of the members of media who are following me, and simply just staying "out there", which is a necessity in PR.

Still not convinced of it's popularity? See the links below.

Are you on Twitter?

Weekend of Lessons

This weekend I learned:

* The power of perspective- Change your perspective and your whole world can/will change

* East Village/Gramercy/Murray Hill is made of nothing but drunk bastards

* Brunch is a necessity

*Williamsburg IS cool and has great vintage shopping! I bought a purse I love for only $10. God bless the 'burg.

The Swedish Really Know How To...

This morning I stopped by Fika Espresso Bar on the way to work. For the past year, I have become a huge fan of coffee and love visiting coffee and tea shops around NYC. Fortunately for me, the walk to work is littered with independently owned coffee shops. Today's pick was Fika. The coffee is good, the service is great, and the cookies look delicious. I'd rate it a positive morning coffee experience! Well done Fika! http://www.fikanyc.com/ . xoxo

And So, We Meet Again....

ser⋅en⋅dip⋅i⋅ty-–noun . 1. an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident. 2. good fortune; luck.

Back on blogspot one week after giving it its birth and I have no clue where to start. Actually, I have a rather long list of blog topics, but none of them look appealing at this moment. It could also be that I am.... dare I say it!?....tired, and was also up until 3:15AM last night. One thing I will say, I have an action- packed weekend filled with fabulous cocktails, vintage shopping, brunch, movies, a bold attempt to use cookware and my stove and oven for the first time, and without a doubt, much more serendipitous discoveries. I feel that this post should carry some sort of substance, so I leave all you fans with a quote: " Carry Yourself Well, Dress The Part".

goodnight and goodmorning :)

What else would I be doing at 2 AM?

So, I just attempted to post my first blog posting and nothing showed up on my profile. I am already failing at blogging. I thought my biggest issue would be commitment to the blog.

Take 2-
Welcome! 2: 15AM EST, and I've started my first blog! I'm also tired, so goodnight. Stay tuned for some fabulous, hilarious, and shocking blog posts to come. xoxo
