" I saw it on Twitter"... a term you may hear a lot these days.
When did tweeting become so damn cool? I don't get it, but then again it totally makes sense, right?
It took me awhile to understand, and getting started with it was like pulling teeth, but I've recently started to see the benefits of "tweeting".
TV reporters, celebrities, politicians,
CEO's, athletes, students, publicists,
bloggers, models, designers, and your average "Joe Six Packs", are all on Twitter. What are they tweeting about? Anything and everything.
This mico-blogging platform allows anyone to send messages in 140 characters or less and has proven to be a good way for everyone to easily stay updated on what someone is doing.
I've noticed
Facebook has recently remodeled itself to look a bit
more Twitter-esque ( a bad decision in my opinion). For me, Twitter has become a quick way to stay updated on what's going on in many different areas of the media, my friend's lives, and what seems to be on everyone's mind in general.
I am also able to reach out to more people for my own benefit. Whether it be for a job, new business, promoting a brand or event, keeping my name in front of the members of media who are following me, and simply just staying "out there", which is a necessity in PR.
Still not convinced of it's popularity? See the links below.
